God Prepares People for His Purposes
Teresa

In this message, we explore God’s plan for equipping His people for specific callings.

Using Moses as an example, the sermon breaks down how God shapes a leader across distinct seasons:

  • Preparation Through Experience & Education: Moses’ early years as a prince in Egypt provided him with administrative, legal, and leadership skills.

  • Preparation Through Humility & Obscurity: His 40 years as a shepherd in Midian taught him patience, dependence on God, and wilderness survival—turning a self-reliant prince into a humble servant.

  • Preparation Through Weakness: When called at the burning bush, God addressed Moses' doubts not by erasing his limitations, but by promising His divine presence.

The message also draws parallels to Paul, showing how God redeemed his past, transformed his zeal, and used years of quiet waiting before entrusting him with public ministry.

While our individual callings vary across the body of Christ, every believer shares a general calling to holiness, service and discipleship. God doesn't require you to be naturally capable—only available—because He faithfully equips those He calls.

Considering Romans 8:28–30, we also see that God has purposed a plan to conform a people to the image of His Son - a plan where victory includes redeeming the spirit, soul and physical body from the effects of the fall.

Do you know the purpose God has for your life?
